ukgov is stopping manual entry online corp tax returns on 31/3/2026, instead submission to be via commercial software; freeagent & sage are approved, QB isn't! help?

The UK Government (ie HMRC) is stopping manual entry of online Corporation Tax returns on 31/3/2026, instead submission has to be via commercially available accounting software packages. Freeagent & sage are on their site as approved. But QB Online isn't. Are QB fixing this or do I need to panic?

There's no need for you to panic, Kyneton. Let me provide you with insights regarding the submission of your corporation tax returns.

Please be aware that QuickBooks does not have any updates on this matter. However, rest assured that QuickBooks consistently complies with HMRC regulations. While we don't have an exact timeline for approval yet, we are actively working to meet all requirements to become approved as one of the accounting software for submitting corporation tax returns.

In the meantime, you can use Workpapers to file your corporation tax return. For more information on how to do this, please refer to the article: File your corporation tax return using Workpapers in QuickBooks Online Accountant.

When managing your VAT in the future, you can generate reports on VAT liabilities, record or adjust VAT payments, and review past payment periods, helping you better manage your VAT duties.

I'll keep this thread open to ensure you receive prompt assistance submitting your corporation tax return, Kyneton. Remember, the Community forum is always available to help.
