You’ve probably noticed a section on the right side of your home page called “Latest Badges Earned.” Badges are a big ol’ shout-out to you, our QuickBooks Community members. They let us recognize you for participating and engaging in the many different features and offerings on the site. (Badges give you an instant visual update about where on the site you’re most active, too.)
Click on the arrow to see a complete list of earned and available badges. (If the icons are greyed-out, it means you haven’t “earned” that badge yet.) Most badges are self-explanatory (and super easy to get!). For example, fill out your online profile and earn two badges when you Introduce Yourself and Share Your Website. You can Cheer or Comment on a post or Ask a question of the community. You’ll also earn badges when you Read five or more posts (or more than 20).
If you sign in to the QB Community for seven (or 30 days) straight, your awesome Streak gets you a badge. (One important note: you must log in *and* log out each day in order to earn either Streak badges!) Want to be a Trailblazer? Go ahead and cheer, comment, ask and read! Contributors engage with the community 30 times, in any way.
You’ll feel Loved when your post receives 25 cheers, and you can soak up the spotlight when you’re selected as a Featured member. Aiming for All-Star status? It takes a 30-day streak, lots of comments and cheers, plus a Loved and Featured badge.
Ready to start collecting badges? Fantastic. We’ll be cheering you all the way!
Before you go, here are three handy articles to help you get the most out of the QB Community:
Thanks Audrey! You Rock! I thought maybe it was something I did. I, too, and looking to be an Allstar. Thank you for making me a featured member.
One more question, I found a place in email where I could add people as a friend (or ignore friend requests). It says add it in a list. But I cannot see where I can do this. Unless it is not ready to be selected.
You're so welcome @lynda! Thank you for being a total Rockstar. You will earn the badge in no time and we love having you as a featured member! :smileyvery-happy:
For friending people, you should be able to hit "friend" within your private message and then within your inbox there is a "friends" section where you can see everyone you have "friended."
Let me know if that works and have a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for the update, I didn't know that in order to be a founding member, you had to do earn your basic profile, add your business name and introduce yourself.
It looks like no one else has figured this out either since there are a total of 0 founding members on the site :)
Let us know when those badges are fixed, we're all chomping at the bit to become All-Stars!
Me too! I've completed almost everything, but haven't received any of the badges for it. Thanks for making me a featured member also! :)
Hey all aspiring All-Stars!
We are so excited you're in it to earn your titles. :smileyvery-happy:
Right now we are wrestling with a bug that's preventing our awesome members from earning those badges. With new Communities come new issues, but just know we are working hard to get this resolved as soon as possible!
We appreciate you keeping an eye on your Community and keeping us in the loop. Cheers!
These badge notifications are completely annoying! Can I turn this off? I just want to get a problem solved, question answered, etc etc and move on with my day. Take the $ you think about spending on your cute little badge programming and invest in a call center and REAL people that can help with accounting software issues. Every time I see the notification, I get a false sense of excitement that someone actually replied to a question I've posted. No, turns out its just some crappy virtual badge. Did the millennial that thought this up reach the ranks of Master's Degree or Doctorate?
