1099's Program tells me I need to download an App from Microsoft Store "qbks 2" link. However, this App not found in Microsoft Store. I signed up for QB Vendor Auto Pay.

As mentioned, I signed up for QB Auto Pay service so they will electronic file, send vendors notices and mail. However, I'm stuck on the Microsoft Error -- I'm launching from Windows 10 on my PC.

Thanks for sharing your concern here in the Community. When you encounter an error when filing your 1099 forms through the QBO.

 

To make sure you're able to e-file your 1099 successfully, I'd recommend using an updated-supported browser. From there, I can assure you that you'll smoothly create and e-file the said. Here's how: 

 

  1. Pull up a supported browser and log into your QBO account.
  2. Go to the Expenses menu.
  3. Select the Vendors tab.
  4. Click the Prepare 1099s button, then select Let’s get started or Continue your 1099s.
  5. Make sure your company name, address, and tax ID matches what's found on tax notices.
  6. Select the boxes that represent the type of payments made to all of your contractors this year, then select Next.
  7. Verify that all of your contractors show up and their info and email addresses are correct.
  8. Review the payment totals for each box you selected in step 4, then select E-File for me to e-file your 1099s. 

 

After that, continue with the e-file process starting Step 4 in this article: Create and file 1099s using QuickBooks Online

 

Once done, you'll be notified via email regarding your filing status. You can also check your filing status by visiting your 1099 E-File account
