I appreciate your loyalty to QuickBooks, @sjantonellis-gma.

You’ll need to create a bank rule in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account for the system to auto-generate rules. I’d be glad to guide you how.

  1. Go to the Banking or Transactions menu.
  2. Select the Rules tab.
  3. Click the New rule1.PNG
  4. Enter a name in the What do you want to call this rule? field.
  5. From the Apply this to transactions that are drop-down, select Money in or Money out.
  6. In the In drop-down, select the bank or credit card account.
  7. Set the rule conditions and enter the needed details to complete the rule.
  8. Then click Save once done.

You can also check this article for more details: Set up bank rules to categorize online banking transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Once done, you can now categorize your transactions and reconcile your accounts whenever you’re ready.

In case you have any other concerns managing rules or reconciling your accounts, you can always tag me in your reply. I’m always around ready to help you. Keep safe and have an awesome week!
