Accounting Firm Level of Access

Hello All,

I inadvertently "solved" a question without fully understanding!

I have a new bookkeeper and he is requesting "Accounting Firm" level access. I have looked everywhere.. Does this level of access provide him access to funds in my bank accounts? Can he gain access to funds?

I am concerned that I will give him a level of access that will grant him access to funds and can cause some serious harm to our company!

It depends on whether or not you can send money from your bank directly from QB.

Usually that is not something that is done.

But the accountant login has all the privilege's that you do as admin, so if you can then he can too

If you hiring an external bookkeeper, consider to disconnect all of your bank feeds and ask the bookkeeper to import data manually. You can also consider opening a separate Melo account for free to manage your bill payment and utilize the approval feature.

GREAT!!! Any idea how I would know if that feature is turned on?

I have never done that but I would hate to find out hat it is in fact on when it should be OFF!!

Check the user permissions in the menu tree, I am not sure where or which menu it is on
