How do I go about changing the Admin password on a file that had no password? In other words, a few weeks ago I received a message saying it had been more than 90 days since I last logged in using Admin and I would need to do so to keep my ability to continue accessing downloads. When I logged in it asked me to create an Admin password, which I did. I forgot to record the password and now I can't get in to 3 files. I also tried to reset the password, but the account number isn't matching, how can I reset the Admin password?
You can use the Automated Password Reset Tool to reset a new QuickBooks Desktop password. Just prepare your QuickBooks license number and make sure you're using the same business phone number, email address, and zip code in your data file.
