I got you cover, @jmartz83.
You can use the Automated Password Reset Tool to reset a new QuickBooks Desktop password. Just prepare your QuickBooks license number and make sure you're using the same business phone number, email address, and zip code in your data file.
Here's how:
- Download this link Automated password tool for QuickBooks Desktop.
- Select your QuickBooks version.
- Fill in the QuickBooks license number and business info used when you registered QuickBooks and then hit Next.
- The phone number must be 10 digits with no extension at the end. Don't use a 1 (+1) at the beginning. Then, accept the license agreement.
- Run the Automated Password Reset tool and then enter the token number received via email.
- From the QuickBooks Desktop Products drop-down, pick the same QuickBooks version.
- Tap Browse for Company File, and then choose the company file you want to reset the password for.
- Type in the correct Company File Admin User Name and enter your New Password and then Confirm New Password.
- Click Reset Password to complete the process.
After resetting your password, try logging in to your QuickBooks file again.
