Anyone having trouble connecting your QB account to American Express business account? AE in the last setup step says its waiting for authorization from the Intuit site?

We have an ongoing issue about the error you've received, james-hsieh.

Our engineers are on hand to resolve this one as soon as possible. However, I have a workaround for you.

We can manually import your American Express transactions.

Before doing so, we'll have to make sure that the file is not more than 250KB. Then, it must be a CSV (Comma-Separated Values), Quicken (QFX), QuickBooks Online (QBO), or Microsoft Money (OFX) file. You can ask your bank provider to download the transactions using any of these files.

Once downloaded, you're good to import them into QuickBooks Online. You can check this article for the detailed steps to do it: Import transactions from a CSV file.

I'd also recommend reaching out to our Phone Support team so you'll be added to the list of affected users. I'll show you how:

  1. From the ? Help icon, select Contact Us.
  2. Enter I'm trying to connect my American Express account.
  3. Click Let's talk.
  4. From there, select either Message an agent or Get a callback from us.
  5. Enter your First nameLast nameEmail, and Phone.

Rest assured, once we heard an update from our engineers, either my colleague or I will update this thread.

When you're ready to categorize the transactions, you can check these guides:

We appreciate your patience while we're working to have this issue a permanent fix so you can get back to business.
