as a contractor is there a different invoicing profile available or an alternate version of Quickbooks that I can use??

I am a contractor and I want my job sites to be listed as the location we performed the services.  when I select that I want ship to information to appear, it adds in the shipping companies information and expected ship date etc.  I want the ability to customize as a contractor.  I am using quickbooks online

If you're referring to the Ship to field located in the header of your template, there isn't a way we can change the it in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Alternatively, you can create your own template  containing the correct Ship to information and import them in QBO.

 

To do this, let's turn on your Import Style option in QBO by following the steps below:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2.  Choose QuickBooks Labs.
  3. Then turn on Import Styles.
  4. Click Done to save.

After enabling Import Style option, you can use our sample formatThen, start mapping your template fields. I'll walk you through on how to do it below:

 

  1. Open your DOCX template.
  2. As you design your template, identify text or fields that don’t change with each print. Logos, company information, certifications, and such are static info. Make it part of your template.
  3. Replace all fields with scalar or table fields, as appropriate to your chosen form type.
  4. Make sure all fields match the EZ Map fields defined in the EZ Map catalog.

Once done, you can save and upload your DOCX template in QBO:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon ⚙, then Custom Form Styles.
  2. Select the New style dropdown menu, then Import style.
  3. Select a form type.Scalar vs Table fields
  4. Select Upload your .DOCX file field, then find and select your .docx template.
  5. Select Next.
