Assigning Numbers to Quickbooks online Chart of Accounts

I have assigned Numbers to accounts in Quickbooks Chart of Accounts. The Code Number which I assigned in Number column is appearing with the Name of the account in the name column. For example I have assigned "0201013001" to Account "Furniture and Fixtures". It is appearing as "0201013001 Furniture and Fixtures" in the name column.

Is there any possibility that the Code Number will not show in the name column?

Why the Code is showing in the name column?

Once we turn on and assign numbers to your account, the figure in the Number field will show both in Name and Number columns in the Chart of Accounts. The option to remove the numbers in the Name column is unavailable. However, you can remove the Number column to see only the Name with the account number. Here's how:

  1. Click Accounting in the left menu.
  2. Choose Chart of Accounts.
  3. Tick the Gear icon.
  4. Uncheck the Number option in the Columns section.
