Can I Access Invoices From An Account Closed Over 12 Months Ago (QBO)

I have read that after an account is closed for QBO there is a 12 month period where you can retrieve the information on it as read-only.

It has been around 2 years since our old account was cancelled (the remaining time on it was technically rolled into our main one). I don't have access to the email account anymore (old company no longer exists) but would like to pull up the past invoices.

Can this happen?

Unfortunately 1 year means 365 days . Period. On day 366 the file is "archived" which despite how it might sound to you and I in qbspeak it means destroyed-shredded-deleted-deepsixed-gone forever.

Maybe the long arm of the IRS can reach into the server and pull it up but I have yet to see any evidence of that.

Welcome and thanks for posting in the Community, @lassise.

@john-pero is right. When canceling a paid or trial QuickBooks Online (QBO) subscription, you still have up to a year to access it. However, in this case, since it's already beyond that timeframe, the ability to access it is currently unavailable.

If you're able to print the forms and reports from that account, you can use it as a reference.

Just in case, consider checking out this article to learn more about what will happen to your data after you cancel.
