Can I scan and upload tax documents for my cpa?

Hi, @jillhardway.

Thank you for reaching out to us here on the Community page.

You don't need to scan and upload your data to your CPA manually. With QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can invite your accountant so they'll have access to your account. The process allows them to review your books, make corrections, and fix any tricky transactions within QuickBooks. I can guide you with the process.

  1. Open your QBO account as an admin.
  2. Go to the Gear icon, then select Manage Users.
  3. Select the Accounting firms tab.
  4. Tap Invite.
  5. Enter your accountant's info and select Save.

QuickBooks emails an invite to your accountant. The email has steps for how to connect your accounts. If your accountant doesn't have a QuickBooks Online Accountant, there's also a link for how to sign up.

You can open this link for more details about adding or removing an accountant in QBO.

For additional resources in the future, you can skim through the topics from our help articles.

Let me know how else I can help you with the accountant access to your QuickBooks. I'm more than happy to help. Keep safe!
