Can I share a custom report with the client?

My client has created several custom reports.  Rather than re-create the wheel, I'd like him to share them with me and vice versa.

Can I share a custom report with the client?

I'm glad you've reached out to us. I'm here to help and guide you on how to share your customize reports in QuickBooks Online (QBO). 


Good news! QBO has the feature to share your customized reports. To do this, let me walk you through the steps: 

  1. Click on the Reports tab on the left.
  2. Choose Custom Reports
  3. Open the specific customised report and click the Save customization button.
  4. Click the drop-down arrow in the Share with field.
  5. Select the specific users you'd like to share it with.
  6. Click Save once you're done.

You can always check the Custom Reports window to view the customized reports created by your client.

Here's how to contact our support: 

  1. Click this link:
  2. Select Contact us
  3. Select US version of QuickBooks Online.
  4. On the Search for some else tab, type-in Customer Support
  5. Click the Get Phone Number below.
