Can someone help me getting logged into the correct company account? My boss sent me a link but I get sent to the incorrect QB account page when I click on it.

My boss sent me an invitation link a few weeks ago, I clicked on it, and could see the returns prepared in the correct entity. Now when I log onto QB, I can no longer see the correct entity, and the portal page shows the name of a different company.

I have some information about logging into the correct account. You can let your boss to resend the user invite. This time, make sure it's the right account that he's sending an invite.

 

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear Settings ⚙.
  2. Select Manage Users.
  3. Find the user you need to invite again.
  4. Click Resend invite in the Action column.

The instructions did not help. I asked my boss to remove my email and re-add me, but when I click on the link, I am still directed to the incorrect company. I need to be associated with a different company's company ID. Due to the problem with QuickBooks, I am also unable to access the correct account for ProConnect. Please advise. Thanks!

I appreciate following the solution shared by @ShiellaGraceA and letting us know the result.


We’ll have to identify the permission level to see why you’re directed to the incorrect company. This is because the user type set in QuickBooks affects one’s access to the company. I suggest contacting your boss to verify the information.


If you’re added as an accountant and have more than one Intuit ID under your email address, select the one you wish to associate with that client. Also, for QuickBooks Online Accountant, choose the user ID that you use to log into your firm. This is to ensure you’ll be able directed the correct company.


For company admin, you have all access rights within QBO and to any other services your company is subscribed to. However, if you've added to the right user type, I recommend contacting our QBO Care Team for further assistance.


One of our specialists will gather personal data to pull up your account. Then, review the setup and guide you on how to apply the permanent solution. Aside from that, you can check with them the issue about your ProConnect account.


Here’s how:

 

  1. Click on the Help icon at the top to display the QB Assistant window.
  2. Press the Talk to a human menu and enter the issue/topic.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
  4. From the option, choose Messaging for real-time assistance or Callback.
