I'll gladly share information that could help answer some of your questions with regard to connecting your bank to QuickBooks Online (QBO), @queries.

One of the most time-saving features of QuickBooks Online is online banking. QuickBooks automatically downloads transactions up to a certain date after you connect your bank and credit card accounts. However, when you connect your bank to QBO, the system will require for your User ID and password. Since your bank uses both a company and user ID connecting is not possible.

As a workaround, you can get your transactions from your bank or credit card and manually import them into QBO. You can follow these steps:

  1. Go to Bookkeeping or Accounting then Transactions choose Bank transactions (Take me there).
  2. Click Upload transactions.
  3. Select Drag and drop or select files and select the file you downloaded from your bank. Then select Continue.
  4. In the QuickBooks account ▼  dropdown, choose the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then select Continue.
  5. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks. Then click Continue.
  6. Select the transactions you would like to import. Then hit Continue.
  7. Click Yes.
  8. When you accept your transactions, select Done.

In cases you see an error message, don't worry. Here's how to fix errors while uploading your transactions.

@queries

Another option, use MT Online or one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo).
