can you remove a vehicle, i can't seem to figure out how?

Hi @aitkener! I’m here to ensure you receive the best support as we work together to update your vehicle settings. With my insight and guidance, we’ll navigate this process seamlessly, ensuring you feel confident every step of the way.

In QuickBooks Self-Employed, you have the option to designate a vehicle as "no longer in use." If you're looking to remove your current primary vehicle, you can easily do this by either selecting another vehicle as your primary or adding a new one.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through the process:

  1. Navigate to the Miles section and select Manage Vehicles.

  2. You’ll see a list of your active vehicles. Click on the vehicle you want to make primary.

  3. Toggle the button on to set it as your primary vehicle. This action will automatically remove the previous primary vehicle status.
  4. If you have a vehicle that you no longer use, you can select Vehicle no longer in use; it will then change to inactive status.

Once you complete these steps, the inactive vehicle will no longer appear on your Mileage page, making your tracking easier.

In addition to this, if you’re interested in understanding how QuickBooks calculates mileage, don’t hesitate to explore this resource: Learn how QuickBooks Self-Employed calculates mileage deductions. It could prove valuable for your future needs!

I hope this explanation resolves your inquiry about managing your vehicles. If you have any other questions or something else comes to mind, please feel free to reach out. I’m always here to assist you. Have an amazing day!
