Can you sort by date instead of "Transaction Type" on the "1099 Transaction Detail Report" AND how do you get the Description field on the report? Thanks.

Currently, there isn't a way to change the Transaction Type to sort by date. What you can do is, select the specific date on the Report Period to show what happened during that period. 

Additionally, there's isn't an option to add the description field on the 1099 Transaction Detail Report since this report is per transaction and not by line item. If you'd like, you can pull up the Transaction Detail By Account and filter the transaction type to show the description field information.

Unfortunately, in QBO, 1099 Transaction Detail Report is not as customizable as needed. There is no comparable report available either.
