Welcome to the Community forum, Christine. Allow me to impart some info about accessing your data after canceling your QuickBooks Online (QBO) subscription.
Yes, you're right that you'll have one-year-read-only access after the cancellation of the QBO account,
However, if you want to export your data, you need to take note of the policies before performing the steps.
These policies are:
- Canceling during a free trial or if your trial expires, your data is available for 90 days.
- If it's a declined credit card, you have 14 days to update your billing information. You'll have full access to QuickBooks Online during this time. After that, your account will be suspended, and you must re-subscribe to access your data.
- If you were subscribed to QBO, you can export data to Excel or a desktop version of QuickBooks up to a year after you cancel.
- If you were using a trial version, you must export within 90 days after you cancel.
