The piled-up cache in your regular browser might have caused this unusual behavior. You can try opening your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser or an incognito window, then try to authorize your connection.
If it works, clear the cache in the one that you're currently using. Here's how to clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online. Once you're done, restart your browser for the changes to take effect.
Also, make sure that the one who's trying to authorize the connection is the primary account user.
