Another new client. Another bug. The level of quality I've come to know and love. :(
This time, I'm trying to add a new user (the client, owner of the account) as an admin. Every single time, QBO will bring me into a "let us verify who you are". It then forces me to get a verification code and reset my password. Once I've done so, I'm back at my Practice screen and have to start all over again. I've tried two browsers, incognito browser, trying again after verification. Nothing works. I can't add the client as an administrator. Any suggestions?

Since the issue persists after trying those troubleshooting steps you've mentioned above, I highly suggest contacting our Phone Support team. They have tools such as screen-sharing (remote access) that can pull up your account in a secure environment. They can also perform other troubleshooting steps that can help fix this for you.
Here's how to reach them:

Oh joy...another hour on the phone with tech support. At this rate, I'm never going to have time to grow my actual business.
Thanks for your time, though sorry to hear that it's actually impossible to open up a new client and have things run smoothly. And now I have to open up another one--can't wait to see how QBO messes with me this time.
Was 1.5 hours with tech support but she was lovely and very patient and eventually we figured it out.
Hi,
What was the solution?
I am also experiencing this.
Many thanks,
Marc
Thank you for joining the thread, @MarcMDG.
Let me help you fix this concern so you can add a new user to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
What you're experiencing right now might be due to too much cache build-up in your browser. A cache is a tool used by your internet browser to speed up the page loading process. Sometimes it can cause a problem when websites are updated and developed as files saved in the cache may conflict with what's actually coded into the website.
Let's run some basic troubleshooting steps to verify if it's cache-related. To start, open your account in a private window. This mode doesn't record any activity on your local device.
Here's how:
If you're able to add a user in your account, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. If the same thing happens, use another supported browser instead. This might be a temporary issue with QuickBooks and the current browser that you use.
Additionally, your subscription level determines how many users you can add. To get more about what usage limits are, please refer to this article: User limits by subscription in QBO.
Just tag my name in the comment section if you have any other concerns or questions. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Stay safe.
