To change the contact name for your QuickBooks Online account you'll need to download the Contact Name Change form, enter your information, and then fax or email it along with a couple of other supporting documents.

Once you send in the necessary information, you'll receive an email notification regarding the status of the update.

This issue was SUPPOSED to be taken care of back in February of this year. I sent the requested documents in and was told it would take a day or two for the change to be made. I asumed it was right up till I needed to renew my payroll portion, and low and behold intuit continues to fail misserably. I delt with a service tech IGGY who proceeded to charge me $ 989.99 for licence and $ 749.00 for the payroll renewall. She also stated that it, the primary contact would be updated in a couple of days, it is now 3 days and no changes. So far this year I have spent in excess of $2,000.00 on Quickbooks, with outside support and now the outrageous fees stated above. BULLPUCCY on you people. FIX IT please.

As much as I want to help you but your concern needs a complete validation. I highly recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support team to assist you.
They can review the status of the request you’ve sent. And to ensure all the necessary documents are presented. You can check our support hours of operation so you can reach them at the time convenient to you.

I seem to be having the same problem as "pissed off2" had. Why is it taking so long to fix the primary contact? I've always been the primary contact and now I cannot even get into my files. This is irritating. Time is money and I will not wait until my payroll services expire to pay it. I can't even get ahold of a live person at QB! What kind of service is this? It's been two days since I sent in all documents. Why is it taking so long to be approved? Another thing that bothers me is the fact that you want me to send you my I.D. - The fact the you outsource scares me with this information and we wonder why fraud happens. There has to be another secure way to verify my identity. Not happy about having to send you this confidential information not knowing who in the world is opening up the files and copying personal information. This sucks!

If you are reluctant to share such personal identities or Support is declined your claim, you may have other option to claim your data with an extra cost/effort as long as you are still able to login as Company Admin.
