You can change your selection of cash or accrual in My Company but regardless of what you select quickbooks is accrual basis by design and cash or accrual by report selection. In fact you can just toggle between cash or accrual in any report at any time. Default report is accrual even when you are cash selected - I can attest to 20 years of that.
