Change the order of the accounts in the profit and loss report without using fathom

Hi there, @Bernie2812.

Arranging the order of the accounts in the Profit and Loss report is unavailable. In the meantime, what you can do is to export the report on Excel file.

To do that, here's how:

  1. In the left menu, click Reports
  2. Type in Profit and Loss in the search bar.
  3. Set the necessary filters.
  4. Hit Run report.
  5. At the top of the report, tap the Export icon.
  6. Select Export to Excel.
  7. Save the file somewhere you can easily find, like your Downloads folder or your desktop.

From there, hit Enable Editing to view and edit the full report so you can manually change the order based on your format.

I can see how having a feature you need would be helpful. While we continue to make your experience with us even better, I recommend visiting our QuickBooks Blog to get the recent news, information about the latest features, and updates in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
