Client didn't receive notice to provide payment details for QBO subscription.

Good morning all-hope everyone is keeping safe.  I just signed up a new client (my second, yay!) and he didn't receive an email with a notice to enter payment details. Anyone know how to have the notice resent so that he doesn't lose his discount?

He tried logging in (he has a QB account under the same email) but nothing coming up there.

Thanks in advance.

I hope the same with you out there, @CFOSecrets.

Your client will acquire his discount upon subscribing to a regular rate not a trial version. The system will prompt to let the subscriber enter the payment method. You can let your client check his Billing and Subscription menu that'll be found in the Settings. I'd be glad to show you the steps below.

  1. Let your client log in to his QuickBooks account, and go to Settings.
  2. Under Your Company column, select Account and Settings.
  3. Select Billing and Subscription menu.
  4. There he can view the amount in the Subscribed Plan box.

For more information about the payment details in QuickBooks, you can check out this article: View your QuickBooks Online payment history.

Also, I added this article to help you on managing your clients in QuickBooks Online Accountant.

I'll be here if you need anything else in QuickBooks. Stay safe.

Thanks, but apparently I wasn't clear.  He has tried logging in but he can't see this particular company.  It's not there! It's not listed under his email!  He already has another company he's managing under Quickbooks, and that is the only one he is seeing. He needs an email, with a link, from QB's so he can get to the new company accounts and enter payment details.   And none was sent.

Hello, CFOSecrets.

Let's go over to your account and have your client access the particular company.

If a user did not receive their invitation email, have them double-check their junk mail and spam folder first. If the email is still not found, the user may need to add Intuit as a trusted site to prevent the browser from potentially blocking site content.

Add Intuit: Google Chrome:

  1. Select the Customize and control Google Chrome  icon and choose Settings.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom and select Advanced.
  3. In the Privacy and Security section, select Site Settings.
  4. Select Cookies.
  5. In the Allow section, select Add.

Once done, you can hit Resend Invitation again and see if they can receive the email. You can go through these articles for other troubleshooting steps:

Please get back to me if you continue to get the same results so I can look further into this. I'll stick around to help you out.

Still not working.  :(  I've spent the last ten minutes trying to add him as a user and QB's won't allow me to save his details.  Under no circumstances will I put this subscription on my credit card--it's his card or Xero.  Any suggestions?

I appreciate the update that you gave, @CFOSecrets.

I'd like to ensure that your client will be able to receive the invite so he'll be able to key in his billing details.

To help identify the root cause of this issue, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Team, since the solution given above doesn't make a difference. They have the necessary tools to be used in determining the reason behind this matter. They can also open an investigation ticket if needed.

For your reference, here are some links that you can check out about the different access levels of your account and on how to enter the billing information:

Let me know if you have any other questions or concern. I'll make sure you're taken care of.

I'm going to try that and if that doesn't help, we're moving over to Xero.  I'm so frustrated.  He finally got the invite email, but then QB's only showed him his original company and then the new one.  Then I added another email of his, and while he was able to set up a login, QB's said that there was no company associated with it, which is nonsense--I added that email as an admin user to the company.  In a nutshell, the program doesn't work.
