Re: converting from QBs to QBO if you just bought a QBs subscription can I get credit on QBO
Thanks for taking the time to reach out to the QuickBooks Community, @SS14.
Let me help share some information about converting file from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Here are some information you need to review first before converting your file from QBDT to QBO:
You can only import QuickBooks Desktop data within the first 60 days of your QuickBooks Online company start date. When you import, your Desktop file will replace your Online file and overwrite any existing information.
We suggest you keep your data file in QuickBooks Desktop and maintain your transactions on both sets of books until you determine QuickBooks Online is right for your business.
Some information may not be imported when you move your file.
Make sure you're aware of the import limitations and feature differences between QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
In the Service Information section, select Cancel.
If you decided to activate your payroll subscription on your QBO, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Payroll Support Team to discuss the payroll services that will suit to your needs and they will be the one to activate it.
