creatiing a back up for my accountant isn't working

After attempting to do a back up for my accountant using Quickbooks 2020 desktop for Mac it was unsuccessful due to the inability to verify data.  I have tried to rebuild the data per other articles with no luck either.  Could someone help me?  Most of the articles I've found don't work for the Mac Desktop version.  Any help would be much appreciated!

How big is the file size?

You may contact Support and ask Intuit Data Service to check (and fix, if required) your company file. Otherwise, you may purchase a 3rd party file repair service.

How can I see the file size?  Do you recommend any third party repair places?

Let's check the location of your company file, @creativesource.

This way, you can check the file size from there. The default location for a QuickBooks for Mac company file is user/Documents/Quickbooks

You can also find your company file's location by clicking on Help and choosing Product Information. You will see it in the bottom part.

The article about finding a company file can give you more details about this.

Additionally, you can go reach out to our QuickBooks for Mac customer support. This way, they can check your account and help you in creating a backup for your accountant. Here's how:

  1. Go to this link: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact
  2. Select QuickBooks Mac Desktop.
  3. Choose a topic.
  4. Scroll down to the bottom section and click Start a Message.

Should you have any follow-up questions in locating your file, don't hesitate to post again here in the Community or leave a comment on this thread. Take care and have a good one.

@creativesource

Our experience is that Pro/Premier/Mac data files start to take a long time to run reports at the 150-200 MB size. In addition, the file become more susceptible to data corruption and other funky issues if they get to be too large. You may try to condense it first.

If the same error still persists, check our profile name and send your business email address in a private message to us. We may evaluate your file to find any issue.
