Custom reports are not showing "Other Current Liability" in the balance, help?

I am running a  Custom Transaction Detail Report (Monthly) , our short term bank loans  class type "Other current liability" are not showing in the custom Report. I have tried to apply "All accounts" in the filters tab of the "Customized Report section" which do not work. In turn it is throwing our reports off and cannot proceed to print out the custom Transaction Detail report for a presentation. Any help would be appreciated.

"Is there anyway to be sure "Assets" & "Other Current Liabilities" are viewable in the "Daily" "Customized transaction reports"?  We changed the account type from "Other Current Liabilities" to "Expenses" and it is now reflected. (Technically a Liability, but it works)"

Here is what is being confused: Source of funds Vs Reason.

Liabilities, such as Bill or credit card accounts = the source of funds for what is owed; checking = the source of funds for what got paid.

Reason = Expense or income, or asset or liability, such as Paid down AP, or got AR, or paid down Credit Card.

"on the other hand, we have some "Assets" purchased that aren't being reflected still."

Assets Purchased = Balance Sheet activity, not Expense activity. How purchased = asset (funds) or liability (AP or credit card). Not EXPENSE at all. You are confusing expense with expenditure or cash flow.

"Not sure how else to specify the report. (Reports>Custom Report>Transaction Detail>Total by: Date.

We are looking for a daily expense review/summary) We need to know the expenses organized by day to analyze another dataset. Thank you."

Reports, Accountant & Taxes, Transaction Detail by Account, Date = Today.

Or,

Reports, Accountant & Taxes, General Ledger, Date = Today

You want ACCOUNT activity, not Expense activity, apparently.

Customize this report and On the Display Tab (also seen at the top of the report), select to Total by Account List.

Now you will see it By Account. Perhaps you have no Activity in that account, in the reporting period.

I don't know what you mean by "balance the numbers." This is not a Balance Report. This is a Listing of Activities.

Which report are you starting from, for Custom Report? Are you trying to show both Income Statement (P&L) and Balance Sheet accounts on the same report? That is not going to work, for a Financial report.

Liability is Balance Sheet data. You can customize that report.
