Customize limited access

Hi Jacob!

We can only choose the access levels to bank accounts. It's whether a user has no access or has  full access. We're unable to break down the access level to specific bank accounts. The same thing applies to Assets, Income, Expense, and other accounts types.

This would be a great option though. I'd encourage to suggest this from your company file by going to the Help menu and choosing Send Feedback Online.

Feedback helps us a lot. We use it to gather ideas from users so we'll know what they need in QuickBooks for their business.

How about QB Enterprise, would it be possible to customize limited access the way I want there?

The option to customize limited access specific for an employee to access only accounts relevant to their job is not possible in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise.

I'm also looking forward of having this feature soon. I'll make sure to post here in the Community once there are updates about this feature.
