delete master admin

my former partner was our cfo and is set up in QB Online as the master admin.  I am set up as just admin.  I need to delete him as master admin and make myself the master admin.  I asked him to do it and he said he is not able to and that I need to call Quickbooks.  Does anyone know how I can effect this change even though I don't have user permission to delete users let alone the master admin?  thanks

Since your previous master admin is unable to transfer the role, I recommend contacting our QBO Care Team for further assistance. One of our specialists will gather personal information to pull up an account.


Once verified, they’ll provide the complete information necessary in processing the master admin claim. Let me show you the steps to get in touch with our support team.

 

  1. Click the Help menu at the top to access the Assistant window.
  2. Key in the topic in the Type something field and tap the Get help from a human option.
  3. Enter the issue in the field box and press Continue.
  4. Choose Chat for real-time assistance or Callback to speak with an agent.
