During this time of social distancing, I am trying to work from home as much as possible. Can I link QB Desktop while not having both computers on the same network?

Utilize the remote desktop app.

Should you need to run the multi-user mode, we may recommend another solution.

Thank you for your quick response! I will try using a remote desktop app. I didn't think of that, I use Teamviewer all the time.

If that doesn't work well how would I go about setting up multi-user mode? I would have to do this remotely with the base computer with all the data I need access to is where I cannot go.

ST and TV are both remote desktop app. ST has a feature to connect a machine from 2 remote locations. But I am not sure yet whether it supports multi-user mode in QB or not.

Should you have more than 1 mobile user, consider deploying a private cloud solution. You may purchase only one access for $25/month and utilize it in turns between users.
