Error code -6147,0 when attempting to open my company file or a backup file. QB File Doctor does not correct the issue and firewall has been checked..

I have run the QB file doctor, looked at my firewall protection to ensure it is not blocking files or ports, have tried to open with earlier back up files, but I keep getting either -6147,0 or -6144, -82 error codes

The page you refer to no longer exists. I just got a new computer on warranty and the file isn't uploading? I can't go back to the old QB computer because it is fried. Why won't it let me upload the back up file?

I have run File Doctor several times and continue to get error code -6147

  1. In your QuickBooks Desktop company file, click the Help menu located at the top.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Click Contact Us button.
  4. In order to route you to the correct support expert, we need to know what type of question you have.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. We’ll provide you a few options. You choose which one is best for you.
