Hello, I have a client running Windows 10 and Quickbooks. When she clicks on the icon she gets the following:
QuickBooks already has a company file open. If you want to open another company file, close this one first.
Only QuickBooks Accountant and QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions can open two company files at once.
I am not familiar with QuickBooks but she has one account for person and one account for her business.
I followed the steps to right click on the icon on her desktop, clicked on properties and checked "run as administrator" which seemed to work temporarily, however today she is telling me the message has returned.
Can someone help me out with this? Much appreciated!

Good morning, @Jimbo40.
It's great to see you back in the Community. Let's work together and get this problem fixed so that your client can access their company file.
All you need to do is a few troubleshooting steps to help resolve this issue. Closing out any open QuickBooks tasks in the task manager and rebooting the system, will ensure that there aren't any open files. Here's how:
Afterward, reboot your computer. Once the system is back, right-click on the QuickBooks icon and run as administrator. If this doesn't work, then I recommend contacting our Customer Support Team. They'll be able to use a few tools to review your account and see what's causing this to occur.
These steps should do the trick. If you have to call our support team, please let me know how it goes. I want to ensure that all of your concerns are addressed. I'm only a comment away if you need me. Take care!
