Extend access to cancelled companies?

We had a number of disregarded entities that had separate QBO subscriptions. 9 months ago we did a project to consolidate, and purchased new subscriptions for each top level company. This left us with a number of cancelled companies that are set to be deleted in a few months.

Looking ahead, we still have the infrequent need to look up something in the old data because the CPA who did the consolidation did monthly JE summaries instead of every single transaction.

If I pay to reactivate the old accounts for one month, and then cancel again, do I get another year of access to the old data?

Extend access to cancelled companies?

Hi there, @jbergwerk.

I appreciate the details you've shared with us. That's right, you will get 10 to 12 months of access to the company files after canceling the subscription. However, you'll not be able to make changes or create a transaction within 1 year after cancellation.

To know more details, you can check out this article: What happens to my QuickBooks Online data after I cancel?

Also, I've added this article to guide with the resubscription process: How to resubscribe or reactivate QuickBooks Online.

I'm including this reference for your future task if you need to track your business financials: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.

Extend access to cancelled companies?

Quickbook Support:

Our account was canceled on 1-25-21 and we would like to access our information.  If I understand the comments provided, there is a way of reactivating our account for 25 days so we can transfer our financial information to a new accounting system.  We purtchased the wrong accounting program in 1-20 and apparently there is a annual charge for your services.  We have not used your payroll, banking, support features during the past year and need to have a system that provides an accounting format only.  Please provide assistance!  Help!  I discussed this problem with Richill C via chat on Friday 1-5 for 1 hour 25 min.

Extend access to cancelled companies?

Hello @Mark Solomon,

Let me help share the options you've got even after your subscription is no longer active.

Yes, you can view and access your financial information even after you've successfully canceled your subscription. To add, only the online services and additional support has been removed after your account is canceled.

In the same manner, here's an article you can read to learn more about your access rights: QuickBooks Desktop Cancellation Policies.

Please be informed that we have removed your account information included in the message as you join in this thread. This is because the Community is a public forum and account details must not be posted to keep your information away from being used for fraud.

On top of that, I've also included this reference for the steps in case you wish to return our product you've purchased: How to return products for various situations and ask for a refund?

If you have any other questions, please let me know by leaving any comments below. I'll be here to lend a hand.
