Failed conversion Little to no support. Seven months with sloppy books

Okay, back in May 20222 I responded to the threats that my desktop QB would no longer be supported and I needed to upgrade to QBO. I was told that Essentials would be sufficient. I was billed and that product was not sufficient. The answer was to upgrade and get the full support for conversion The conversion scattered my data over years of data and would show up as unpaid bills from years ago. Old unused credits were not deletable and popped up unexpectedly while trying to pay current bills. Support lacked the knowledge to help me.. Upgrade again was the answer. The "cleanup crew timed out and I lost contact. Was billed again and assigned a new team that failed to complete. Assigned a new support group that is trying to close for the last three months. Here it is December and I'm still waiting. Some good CPA's scattered across the country are involved but dont seem to have the time or focus to work on my books. Monthly billing works perfectly? Where do I go to get help???

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. I understand that things have been challenging for you regarding on conversion of your data from QuickBooks Desktop to the Online version. Also, this isn't the sort of experience I want you to feel about your billing subscription. With this, let me point you to the right person to assist you further on this migrating and billing issue.

 

I suggest getting in touch with our support again. They have the tools to pull up your account in a secure environment which we're unable to do it here in the Community. That way, they will be able to thoroughly investigate the cause of your data conversion failure and provide detailed billing information.

 

Here's how to contact the correct person:

 

  1. Open your QuickBooks Account.
  2. At the top right, click the Help icon.
  3. Choose the Assistant section.
  4. Type your concern in the Type something field.
  5. Click Talk to a human.
  6. Click I still need a human.
  7. Click the Get help from a human.
  8. You'll be routed into the How can we help? page. Then, select callback or how you want to contact them and fill in the information.

The answer was to upgrade and get the full support for conversion

 

What did they mean by "upgrade" and "get full support for conversion"? You should get their clarification on these terms.

Regarding your current situation, I would recommend purchasing a new license for QB Desktop 2023 Pro Plus or Premier Plus to upgrade your data immediately and cancel your QBO account. Another option, install the trial version for QB Desktop 2020 and/or 2021 for the time being. You may need more time to weigh your options later.
