Has anyone else experienced a loss of sales tax information from 2020 after Quikbooks upgraded in 2021

We are unable to view our sales tax history for most of 2020.

It's great to see you back in the Community. I'm here to help get you and your business squared away. Let's work together and get this problem handled with your sales tax information. 

 

Trying a few of our basic troubleshooting steps will help resolve this issue. Using a private browser or incognito window will eliminate these glitches from occurring in your system. Here's how depending on your session: 

 

  • Safari: Command Shift N
  • Internet Explorer/Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N

 

If this works, go back to your regular session and clear your browser's history. This will remove the glitch from the browser to help QuickBooks run to its full potential. Afterward, go to the Taxes tab and choose to view your sales tax History

We lost all of our invoices from 2020 overnight. Someone from Virginia is logging into my account apparently. I'm in NYC.

Intuit has implemented technologies within QuickBooks to keep customers’ data secured. Do you have other users working on your account?

 

To verify this, I would recommend contacting our Technical Support team directly. They have tools that can track your records in the program and help investigate this further for you. Also, it would be best to report this incident with them. That way, they can provide recommendations to make your account more secure.

 

Here are the steps to reach out to our support:

 

  1. Go to the Assistant menu.
  2. On the QB Assistant window, type Talk to a human.
  3. Select or type, I still need a human.
  4. Type it again until you see a shortcut to connect with my human option.
  5. Click the Contact us link and select how you want to reach them.
