This answer is incorrect.
I have the exact same request for the exact same reason.
We need a copy of Intuit's SSAE 16 (SAS70) report. This is Intuit's report, not from the end user's account. I believe this is part of the Sarbanes Oxley legislation.

Our accountants requested this document last year, and it was extraordinarily difficult to obtain. It took multiple phone calls and emails. Now I need it again for this year's tax filing. This is a standard document that you should be able to readily provide to any customer who needs it. I don't know why you don't make a link to it available with all your other legal docs. Perhaps it's there and deeply buried? This is an annual requirement for many of your customers. Please provide clear instructions or a link to help us obtain this necessary information required by our auditors.

Hello AShepard,

Software companies such as Intuit  is not required by SOX to provide a Trust Services Criteria (TSC) SOC1, SOC2, or SSAE18 report. You can use this link for reference: Compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and SOC requests.

However, Intuit is required to file an annual certification that is part of the Intuit 10K filing. This is available online: https://investors.intuit.com/financials/annual-reports/default.aspx.

Aside from that, the Intuit Online Payroll Services are subject to an annual audit of the control environment following SSAE18 guidance. That results in a SOC 2 Type II report.

To obtain this report, you'll need to contact our Customer Care Team. From there, they create a request about the report you need.

Let us know if you need anything else.
