How can a client access multiple QBO accounts when sent an invitation from me the accountant? QBO keeps defaulting to the first business account ID and password.

My client successfully established an ID and password for his initial business, from my invitation, a few months ago. Recently he established a new business. I created an account and sent him an invitation. When he tries to establish an ID and password for the new business QBO defaults to his initial ID ... and only allows him to access his original business.
How can my client access his additional QBO account?

Good day, yelsomal.

I'd be happy to lend a helping hand in accessing your client's additional QuickBooks Online account.

QuickBooks Online has the flexibility to consolidate multiple companies under one user ID. You do have the ability to consolidate your client's access to simplify your account.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to the company that you want to consolidate to your current user ID.
  2. Select the Gear icon on the Toolbar, then Manage Users.

  3. Select Add user.
  4. Select Company admin and select Next.
  5. Enter the new user's email address and their name, select Save.
  6. Sign out of QuickBooks Online.
  7. Check your email for the invitation.
  8. Select "Ready to get started? Let's go!

  9. If you already have a QuickBooks Online user ID and Password, you can use your existing credentials. If not, you can create a new user ID and Password.
  10. Once successfully signed in, select Sign-out.

I am not sure I asked the question properly.  When I log into QBO I see the following:

[company name removed] which has two clients under it (client one removed & client two removed)

Angelview

Diegoview

All of them are there due to invites by the client.

When I log on I can get into Angelview & Diegoview but when I double click on [company name removed] I get the message "Page Not Found"

Can we have a phone call to walk me through what I need to do???

This does not answer the question of the issue.  I need to speak to someone.

Hey there, Wexyd21649.

Allow me to share some information and help you access the Wexler & Assoc account via QuickBooks Online.

To better isolate the issue, as an initial step, you might want to open the account via the private window and see if you're able to access it from there.

Use these keyboard shortcuts depending on the browser you're using:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift N

If you're able to access the account via the private window, let's clear the browser's cache. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate.

However, if you're still getting the same issue, I'd suggest getting in touch with your client and have them check your user access rights in QuickBooks Online.

Here’s what the Master Admin needs to do:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the upper right corner.
  2. Choose Manage Users.
  3. Go to Accounting firms tab.
  4. Have them review your access from there.

However, if you need to discuss sensitive information, you can call our dedicated team who will be happy to assist you. To reach us, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Help menu at the upper right.
  2. Select Contact Us
  3. Enter your specific payroll concern in the What can we help you with? box.
  4. Click Let's talk
  5. Choose Get a callback.
  6. Enter your contact info.
  7. Select Confirm my callz.PNG
