Join nowGood morning, @wendy-somers99.
You can manage your Users through CAMPs (Customer Account Maintenance Portal) for QuickBooks Desktop.
If you need to change the Primary Contact, I've provided the steps below on how to do this with ease:
Here's how to remove a User from your account:
After managing the User Access, please look at your Bank's transactions. If the issue persists, leave me a Reply with details of the error message or a screenshot of the behavior. I'd be happy to assist you further on that matter.
I'll keep an eye out for a response. Have a beautiful day!
Thanks for your reply. Let me clarify my original question. We bought a new computer. Originally the new QB that we have was set up under my husband's profile which has all of his personal email and info. The new computer is going to be solely for my use, so I set up a profile and made myself the administrator. Under my profile, when I use QB, I am unable to download the banking transactions bc the downloads will only work under my husband's profile. Is there something I can do to make QB work under my profile? How can I safely delete it under his profile without deleting the entire QB from the computer?
Hello again, wendy-somers99. Thanks for the clarification.
When setting up users in QuickBooks Desktop, there are restrictions which are dependent on what role you have.
To get this resolve, you can edit the permissions assigned on your role and allow access for bank transactions.
You can refer to this article for more detailed information: QuickBooks Desktop Users and Restrictions.
If you need help with anything else, you can always post here in the Community. We’re always ready to help.
Thanks for trying to help. I am the admin. and only user of QB in our house. I don't have any restrictions. There wasn't anything for me to change listed there?
Thanks for getting back to us, @wendy-somers99.
Let's ensure that your QuickBooks Desktop is up-to-date, so you always have the latest release and fixes. You can do it automatically or manually.
Here's how to set up automatic updates:
To do manual updates:
Once done try to download again your bank transactions. However, if you encounter banking errors, you can refer to this article: Fix OL and OLSU Bank Feeds errors in QuickBooks Desktop. It provides steps on how to resolve common banking issues in QuickBooks Desktop.
I'll be here to lend you a hand if you ever need assistance again in the future. Take good care.
Wendy I have the same issue and they are not understanding your problem. I also have 2 on my laptop and can't get it over to my profile. I continually have to go to my bosses and driving me nuts. But I just left it that way. Love to know if you ever got it. It's not the issue in quickbooks so support knows. It's an issue on our computer profiles through microsoft!!!!!
