How can I delete my company after cancelling the free trial? Using /purgecompany as suggested in the Help articles doesn't do anything.

We began a free trial with QBO, but then we got a paid QBO subscription through a liaison platform. I just cancelled the free trial, but the company still exists. Now, I'd like to delete the company completely from Quickbooks, but I can't figure out how. All other help articles say to add /purgecompany to the end of my URL after being signed in, but that doesn't do anything, just gives me a kind of blank version of my home page. Is there a way to delete this duplicate company now rather than waiting the year before QBO deletes the data?

Glad to see you in the Community, Viola4.

I appreciate you for taking the initial steps in trying to delete your free trial account and letting us know the result. I can see the importance of completely removing the duplicate company in QuickBooks.

We want to make sure you still have access to your transactions after canceling the subscription. That’s why we keep the data for a year and don’t remove it right away. Let me share this article for more information: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription or trial.

Since you already have a new subscription, I’m adding resources to help perform any tasks in QuickBooks smoothly.

I’m back to make sure everything is clear for you, Viola4.

May I know if the information I shared answers your question as to why we don’t completely remove the company right away?
