There are two options you can choose for this scenario. If you're using Simple Start, please disregard the first option and contact our Online Support instead.
The first option would be to reach out to your previous CPA. You can ask him/her to sign in to QuickBooks as the master admin and invite a new user.
Here's how:
- Go to Settings ⚙, then select Manage Users.
- Select Add user.
- Select Company admin as the user type.
- Select Next.
- Enter the new user's info, then select Save.
- Your new user will get an email from quickbooks-email@intuit.com inviting them to your business. They need to select the “Let’s go!” link and sign in.
- To complete the process, follow the steps below to choose an existing user as your new master admin.
However, if reaching your CPA isn't possible, you'll need to contact our Online Support as your second option. They can verify your account in a secure environment and assist you further with transferring the master admin role to you.
