You can generate the Transaction Detail by Account report in QuickBooks Online and customize it to display spending by vendor within specific categories for the year, PIdon.
Here's how:
- Navigate to the Reports menu on the left panel.
- Search for and select the Transaction Detail by Account report.

- Set the Report period to Custom dates and enter the start and end dates to cover the entire year for which you want the data.
- Click Columns and select the checkboxes for Vendor and Distribution account type, and any other details you want included.

- In the Filter tab, select Vendor Name from the dropdown and then individually check the names of the vendors to include in the report.
- Click + Add Another Filter and choose Distribution Account. Then, select specific categories that you want to include in the report.
