How can I purge the data in the student edition of Quickbooks

If your account is 60 days old or older, you can cancel the subscription and create a new company. I'll show you how to cancel: 

1. Go to the Gear icon and select Account and Settings.
2. Select the Billing and subscription tab.
3. Click Cancel subscription.
4. Follow the steps to cancel your account.

Then, sign up for QuickBooks Online. You may use the same user ID and password you used before.

You can use this reference if there are data you need from the previous account to the new one: Move your lists to QuickBooks Online.

It will not allow me to cancel the subscription in the student edition

Canceling a subscription for the student edition can't be done through your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. You'll want to reach out to your teacher or get in touch with our support team. This way, they can assist in canceling your subscription and help you start over.

I am a student and have a student quickbooks online version.  I want to erase everything I have done so far and start over.  I have searched and searched for how to do this and there is no help online anywhere.  I really think you should provide this in the help menu and all over the place.

The only thing that I can find is for the regular version of quickbooks online where you go the accounts and cancel subscription and then open a new account.  We do not have that option in our student quickbooks online.

Since you're using the student version, I recommend contacting our QBO Care Team for further assistance. They have extra tools to erase your data and ensure you can start fresh with the account. I'll help and guide you to get the support information.

2. In the upper-right, click the drop-down for Select Country and choose United States (English).
3. Navigate to the Support menu and press the drop-down to select how you wish to connect with our supportability team.
