Buy now & saveI am trying to remove my home address and phone number from my invoices in QuickBooks, as I run an online business and prefer not to have personal information displayed. For several hours, I’ve been attempting to resolve this issue, but despite saving changes, both my address and phone number keep reappearing on the PDF invoices and payment emails. I've tried customizing my invoice template and updating company settings, but the issue persists. How can I ensure my address and phone number are completely removed?
Customizing the template in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to omit your home address and phone number from your invoice ensures that these contact details won't appear on the payment confirmation, Etchinheaven1. Let me guide you through the steps to remove them from the invoice payment confirmation.
To prevent your details from appearing on the PDF invoices you intend to email, you need to uncheck the business name and phone number in the content section of custom form styles. This will ensure that even if you update the company settings, your personal information will not be displayed. Here's how:
Once completed, preview the invoice by clicking the Manage gear icon, and selecting the new template you've created under the Design tab. A screenshot has been attached for your visual reference.
By following these steps, you should be able to remove the address from the invoice payment information during the preview.

Thank you for your detailed response and guidance. I really appreciate your support!
I wanted to let you know that I’ve actually followed these steps before reaching out, but unfortunately, I haven’t had any success. The "Custom form styles" option just doesn’t seem to appear under the Gear icon in my QuickBooks Online interface.
I’ve attached a screenshot so you can see what I’m working with. This has been quite frustrating, and I’d be so grateful if you could help me figure out what might be going wrong or guide me on what to try next.
Thank you again for your time and help, it means a lot!
Thank you for following the troubleshooting steps provided by my colleague, @Etchinheaven1. I can explain why the Custom form styles feature is missing from the Gear icon in your QuickBooks account. Let’s dive into the details.
Based on your screenshot, you're using QuickBooks Solopreneur, which has a different interface from my colleague's and lacks the Custom form styles option. This version does not support invoice customization, such as removing your home address and phone number from invoices, PDFs, and payment emails.
You'll want to consider upgrading to other QuickBooks Online editions so you can customize invoices and other sales forms.

Thank you for explaining this! I appreciate the clarification about QuickBooks Solopreneur and its limitations on invoice customization. I’ll look into the upgrade options to see what works best for my needs. If there are any alternative solutions for hiding personal details without switching plans, I’d love to explore those as well. Thanks again for your help!
