I don't need to reset it, and as a non-admin I don't think I can reset it. I just want to change my user password.
Thanks for visiting QuickBooks Community, @BartHumphries.
Changing a regular user's password is an option available for an Administrator of the company file. I recommend reaching out to an Admin and have it updated.
Here are the steps for QBDT (Windows):
For reference, check out the Reset a user password section at the bottom of this article: Reset your password for QuickBooks Desktop. If you’re using the Mac version, follow this instead: Reset password for QuickBooks Mac Desktop.

Isn't that a security flaw, that administrators know user's passwords? Who's to say that admins haven't logged in as other users to do monkey business?
You're never supposed to give your password for any other computer system to the help desk or a supervisor.
Thanks for getting back to us, @BartHumphries.
Access permissions protect the company file from unauthorized access. That’s the reason why only the Admin has full access to the company file, assign access permissions and passwords to other users.

The Admin assigns permission initially and gets a temp password to give to a user. As soon as the user logs in, the user should be prompted to change the password. Otherwise, a) I don't think QuickBooks is in compliance with PCI and b) you could end up with a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BOfH situation.
hi @BartHumphries ,
I could change it on the menu Company > Setup Users and Passwords > Change Your Password.
I have Premier 2017-2019 running on the same machine. Since 2018 version, it requires at least 7 characters, including one number and one uppercase letter.
