That's because they don't want you to leave for another product.. If they had decent support and a product that worked properly we wouldn't want to leave.
I opened quickbooks yesterday and noticed I did not have Payto info on 2 checks. when
I went to correct it, I had to reenter the vendors. I did that and then I don't know what I did but all of my quickbooks register went away. I installed quickbooks tool and tried to restore my register. It came back, but stopped on 7/28/2018. I need to restore thru 2020.
Good Afternoon, @Prisjo.
I'm here to provide some additional information about this issue. Let's try a few basic troubleshooting steps to help restore your register. Using the Verify and Rebuild Data tool will identify and resolve the most commonly known data issues within your account. Here's how:
Verify
Rebuild
It's that easy! Afterward, locate your register and ensure that it's restored the information. If not, then please let me know.
I want to make sure that you're able to get this resolved as soon as possible. I'll be back around shortly.
I did the verify and rebuild and my latest data did not return
I did the verify and rebuild . It did not restore my register data
You and I share a common goal. I'm here to provide the help you need and get your register working, Prisjo.
I appreciate you for performing the troubleshooting steps provided by my colleague. Did you create a backup that contains the 2020 data file?. If you do, we can restore your company file in QuickBooks Desktop.
If not, we can repair QuickBooks Desktop to fix any damaged components in the software. Then, try re-sorting the list to fix damaged Customers: Jobs, Vendors, Employees, Other Names, Accounts, and Items, as well as other things in lists.
Just follow the steps and details in this article: Re-sort lists.
If the same thing happens, I'd suggest contacting our Technical Support Team. They'll pull up your account in a secure environment and investigate what's causing this issue.
Here's how to reach them:
I have a link here that provides you with articles about managing your vendor transactions: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/expenses-and-vendors/07?product=QuickBooks%20Deskt....
Feel free to go back to this thread if you need a hand with running reports or any QuickBooks related. Wishing you and your business continued success. Take care always.
