How do I have QBSE stop trying to connect to a checking account that I have closed but keep those account transactions my data?
Hiding or deleting your bank is one of the options that you can consider and I'm here to guide you how, markcathymarkcat.
You'll want to hide the bank accounts so you'll not be able to see the transactions from the bank account and keep all the existing data. To do this, you can follow these steps:
Open QuickBooks Self-Employed in a web browser.
Select the profile ⚙ icon and then Bank Accounts.
Find the account you want to hide.
In the Show Account section, select the toggle to OFF.
All of your data is still there, you just won't see the transactions anymore. To make the account active again, repeat the steps, and select the toggle to ON. You may also want to delete your bank accounts and transactions.
Aside from hiding your bank account, QuickBooks-Self Employed tracks tax information by recording and categorizing a transaction. Here's an article you can read about to give more information: QuickBooks Self-Employed Overview.
Feel free to let me know if you need anything else about your bank accounts. We'll always be right in case you need further assistance.
