How should I open the client QBO? if I try to open it is asking for a password that I never setup. I only work on Saturdays with this client.

I have another client with the same email. If he send the invitation with a different email, still is asking for the password that I never setup.

Hi there, @dithcita2004-yah.

 

I'll share with you some information and troubleshooting steps that you can perform. So, you'll not be entering any password while opening the client's QuickBooks Online Account. 

 

Normally opening a client's account in your QuickBooks Online Accountant Account (QBOA) shouldn't ask for a password. Then there shouldn't be any problem opening the file. 

 

With this, I'd suggest letting your client re-invite you as an accountant to get rid of the problem. Let them click the Delete or Resend invite button on the Manage Users page and sign in with your existing user ID and password. 

 

After that, accept it and re-access the client's account to check if it's already performing well. For more details about the process, check out this article: Invite an accountant to review your accounting in QuickBooks Online.

 

If the issue persists, I'd recommend calling our Customer Care Team. They have tools to do a screen share and investigate the root cause of the problem. 

 

  1. Go to the Help menu, then choose Contact Us
  2. Type your concern in the description field, and hit Let's talk or Continue
  3. Choose either Get a call or Start a chat. 
  4. Complete the needed information and submit the request.
