How to copy company file from one account to another? its a little bit confusing when we choose the date and time when we copy the data and information

Just to clarify your question. Do yo need to duplicate the whole data from one QBO account to a new blank QBO account? Are you using QBO Advanced?

How to copy company file from one account to another? its a little bit confusing when we choose the date and time when we copy the data and information

Hello, jay25.

I'll share some information about copying company data from one to the other account.

Currently, the option to move or copy company data is only available in QuickBooks Online Advanced subscription. If you have the Advanced version, you can follow the steps outlined in this article: Make a copy of your QuickBooks Online Advanced company

As a workaround, you can utilize the Export feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to get a copy of your company data through Excel and import them to your other QBO account.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Export Data.
  3. On the Reports tab, set the desired date range.
  4. Add or remove items from the Reports and Lists tabs by toggling the slider.
  5. Once done, hit Export to Excel.

I've got this helpful article for your reference: Export reports, lists, and other data from QuickBooks Online.

In addition, you can visit this resource to learn about the file format supported in QuickBooks Online and the things you need to know before importing your data to another QBO account: Common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you need further assistance with managing your company data. I'll be here to help you out.
