You don't. 1099 is issued by the payor not the payee. If someone is paying YOU business rent then THEY create a 1099 for rent. THEY will have to do so by accessing a source outside of QB as QB ONLY does 1099 Misc (box 7 and THEY need box 1) Free forms at irs.gov but the 1096 from irs.gov if printed even in red and submitted can result in a penalty

Wrong answer.  Property managers collect rent from tenants, and then forward that rent to a landlord, less any expenses.  1099's have to report the gross amount of rent received from the tenant, not the net amount paid to the landlord.
