How to delete existing bank feed login and enter a new one for the same accounts?

The owner of the company has a login set up to download the bank feed each day. We would like for me to set up my own password for those accounts, but I see that you can't have two logins for the same bank accounts. I have my own bank account login information (although it is view only). What steps do I need to take to make this happen, and because my banking login is "view only", will I still be able to download the bank feed transactions each day?

How to delete existing bank feed login and enter a new one for the same accounts?

Good day, @KC_Reiter.

It's nice to have you in the Community today. I can assist you with deleting an existing bank feed log in credentials and enter a new one in QuickBooks Desktop.

You can edit your login credentials or any information in your bank account connected to QuickBooks Desktop if you disable and re-enable Bank Feeds. This will ensure that the most current information will be pulled from the bank server during re-setup. Bear in mind that only the admin of the account can make the changes.

To do that:

  1. Deactivate Bank Feeds for an account.
  2. Make the necessary changes.
  3. Re-setup account for Bank Feeds.

Also, in case you'll encounter any errors while on the process, you can check out this article for some troubleshooting steps:

This should change the login credentials, @KC_Reiter. Fill me in if I can be of additional assistance. I'll be around to help. Have a wonderful day!
