How to export to Quickbooks Online company to turbotax business?

I'll help you with the migration process, trwahlers.

The option to directly import QuickBooks Online data into TurboTax Business software is unavailable. We'll have to convert the file to QuickBooks Desktop first.

To start, install the trial version of QuickBooks 2021. Then, sign in to QuickBooks Online and download the migration tool. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to the QuickBooks Online account you want to convert using a supported web browser.
  2. Select the URL and replace anything after /app/ with exportqbodatatoqbdt. The URL should say https://app.qbo.intuit.com/app/exportqbodatatoqbdt
  3. Click Enter on your keyboard.
  4. On the Export Overview window, click Get Started.
  5. Choose the Download tool to download the QuickBooks Desktop migration tool.
  6. Once you download the tool, launch and install it, then click Next.
  7. Accept the terms in the license agreement and select Next.
  8. Select Complete as the type of setup, then Next.
  9. Click Install, then Finish.

Follow the additional steps outlined in this article: Move your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop.

Once done, you can now import the data to TurboTax Business.

Additionally, I've added an article that'll help you learn how your books were moved from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop: Limitations When Converting your File.

You can always get back on this thread if you need additional assistance with the steps. It's our priority to ensure your data is transferred correctly.

Thank you for the roadmap. A very complex process for something that should be simple.

I made it all the way to the end before the migration tool crashed.  I gave up and am doing it

by hand.  What a waste of time.

I have been using Quickbooks and TurboTax for 25 years.  I am amazed that Intuit can not

make this clean.   You own both products.  I end up on the phone feeling sorry for your

support staff.

Tim.
